Volunteer Opportunities

The Early Head Start Center offers volunteer opportunities to parents/guardian, and the general community. Training is provided and volunteers also sign a Confidentiality Agreement. Volunteering is an important part of our program and is a benefit to children as well as enhancing parent involvement and community support. Volunteer time is needed to make up the 20% match required for Federal dollars received for Early Head Start funding.

                                                                                

There are many different ways of volunteering such as:

• Assisting in the classroom
• Assisting with nutrition responsibilities
• Helping staff with special projects
• Volunteering on a committee
• Working on site as a TANF recipient
• School and/or college related practicum and internships
• Provide training for staff and parents/guardians
• Sponsoring a fund raising event
• Making a donation
